Republicans imagine hordes of nefarious undocumented immigrants casting ballots under fake names. Of course, as in Indiana, there are no actual cases based in the real world of a single such event occurring. Nevertheless, they pass voter ID laws on a party line basis in states they already control as a way to "improve the electoral system." It's purely coincidental that those affected by these laws vote Democratic. Thank goodness we have five republican Supreme Court justices who join in this party line approach and who believe that a nonexistent problem can be constitutionally legitimized by partisan tampering with the fundamental right to vote.
