We're on a mission from God ... to torture people

The latest in a long line of Bush stooges and prevaricators, John P. Elwood, disclosed to Congress this week a previously unpublicized method to cloak illegal and immoral Republican activities by claiming that the assministration can ignore or modify existing executive orders without disclosing the new interpretation. The assministration's wide stance on Bush's power over executive orders let it stall disclosure of the assministrations torture policies and secretly operate programs that are at odds with public executive orders that to all appearance remain in force. Elwood believes Republicans can create a smokescreen of falsehoods behind whose phony regulations lawless programs can operate in secret.
