Of course that was in 2000, when Bush beat McCain like a rented mule in the Republican primary.
In the eight years since that monumental ass whipping, McCain still has not figured out that Czechoslovakia does not exist. McCain has made this same mistake repeatedly during the 2008 campaign. About three months ago, McCain vowed to “work closely with Czechoslovakia” on missile defense. Last fall, during a Republican debate, McCain said: “The first thing I would do is make sure that we have a missile defense system in place in Czechoslovakia and Poland, and I don’t care what his objections are to it.” Most recently, at a press conference in Phoenix, McCain referenced Czechoslovakia again.
“I was concerned about a couple of steps that the Russian government took in the last several days. One was reducing the energy supplies to Czechoslovakia."
The irony is that McCain has actually been to the Czech Republic and Slovakia since they became independent countries, and he’s met with their leaders. When you are a senile old man who can't recover from being beaten up by George W. Bush, then you don't deserve to be in the running for President of the United States.

1985? Czechoslovakia split up in 1993.
You are right. Good thing I'm just some dope with a blog and not a candidate for President of the UNited States running on his supposed foreign policy experience.
